Giving4ward™ to Colchester MIND

December is here and 2013 is coming to a close - but with it comes the latest Giving4ward™ charity donation. During November we are thrilled to report that we managed to collect £152.00 for our latest beneficiary - Colchester MIND (www.colchestermind.org).

This is an excellent local charity that tries to improve the lives of people throughout North Essex by providing a variety of services and activities and campaigning to help reduce the stigma attached to Mental Health. The charity has been running for nearly 30 years. We are very pleased to be able to give them this money, which we know will be put to valuable use in supporting its work and lobbying. Once again, we hope to be able to visit the charity to hand over the cheque and to see first hand some of the work they do.

UPDATE: we managed to get along to the Colchester MIND offices yesterday to handover the cheque and wish the guys there a very Merry Christmas! Here we are (Rachel Davidson-Foster, Operations Director and Jeff Keating, Resources Director) with James McQuiggan, Chief Executive of Colchester MIND.

Our Giving4ward™ Scheme works by us making a donation for every one of our invoices that is paid on time by our clients. At the end of the month we then make a donation to one of the local charities our team have nominated - for more information about the scheme read the first blog: https://www.highposition.com/blog/high-positions-invoices-now-raise-money-for-local-charities/

Corporate Social Responsibility is something that we think all businesses should be doing - it is after all just a buzz-word for “doing your bit” in life and the team here at High Position are proud to put something back into our local community. Our total raised so far this year is £1,230.00.

Next Month’s Charity: Next month we will be donating all monies raised to the Colchester League of Hospital & Community Friends (http://www.colchesterhospital.nhs.uk/lof.shtml). This is a very small charity that supports the local NHS hospitals by helping improve amenities and providing equipment and facilities for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors. Anybody who has had cause to visit the General Hospital in Colchester will have seen the shop and cafe bar that the charity runs in order raise funds. Well, we hope to give them a little boost via a Giving4ward™ donation in early January.

Thank You: We say it every month but it is worth repeating; we could not do this without the support of all our clients; and a big thank you goes to the team at High Position for the continuing hard work and passion for all things digital marketing
